The American Conservative Party

It's time for people to move away from the mainstream Republican and Democrat parties. In the
election we just concluded, the American people had to choose between a middle-to-Left Republican
who was very comfortable making deals with the other side when it was convenient, and a unabashedly
Liberal Left Democrat, and in a contest on who can be the more Left, the real Lefty will win...and he did.
John McCain, good man that he is, is not the Conservative that he claims to be. We as a people need
new leadership that real Conservatives can be proud of, real leadership that Conservatives can get behind
and support.
With that in mind, I am forming the American Conservative Party.
Now, I understand that third parties have never made much of a difference in American politics, to which
I would tell you that until yesterday, Americans had never elected a Black man. The American Conservative
Party could well become a party that elects people to local or national office. That will be up to the people in
the party. At the very least, I see the ACP as being an organization that points out real Conservatives in
the mainstream parties, like Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal on the Republican side, and Senator Joseph Lieberman, formerly of the Democrat party.
The platform of the American Conservative Party is as follows:
- The ACP supports fewer government regulations on business and industry, this will lower taxes on business and allow them to continue to be the showcase of American inginuity.
- The ACP opposes the expansion of welfare, and supports the establishment and expansion of work programs and work opportunities.
- The ACP opposes affirmitive action and quotas, rather, these positions should be attained by individual merit, as this supports and affirms the value of the individual, and their own skills and achievements.
- The ACP supports the responsible use of the land. Industry has shown us that land has multiple uses, both at the same time, and after industrial use is completed. Any use of land should be conducted responsibly, while maintaining the ability of the land to be used in a different manner at a later time.
- Our natural resources should be expanded. Oil reserves need to be expanded through drilling in areas such as ANWR, an off-shore areas in those states who want to do so. However, we should also allow for the expansion of alternative sources of fuel, including nuclear energy, solar power, wind energy, etc.
- The ACP does not support the establishment of a national health care system. Rather, individuals are best able to decide for themselves what kinds of health care insurance are best for them. Prices for health insurance can be lowered through supporting an expansion of the health care market.
- Our immigration laws need to be enforced across the board. Illegal aliens crossing the border should be deported immediately, if illegal immigrants are picked up for some other violation of the law, they should be deported. If a company is caught hiring undocumented illegal aliens, they should be fined heavily. The government
should assist in the establishment of resources to support these policies.
- The ACP supports our military forces, and their work in maintaining a strong national defense. The men and women who defend our freedoms deserve our unqualified support, whether that is in the field where they risk
their lives in service to their country, or whether that be at home.
- The ACP supports the persecution of the War on Terror, we believe that this conflict needs to be won in order
to keep our own country secure.
- The ACP supports the freedom of the airwaves, and other forms of communication. Establishment of such things as the Fairness Doctrine is an infringement of our constitutional rights, and should be opposed out of principle.
- The ACP supports lower taxation where it can happen, be it at the local, state, or national level. Lower taxes allows for greater economic activity.
- The ACP supports a woman's right to choose, but we hope that the choice is for life.

We believe that these above platform ideas represent Conservativism to the best of our ability. We support those who agree with these ideas, and the Conservative ideal. We hope to be a part of a revival of the Conservative
movement, and we will push for the election of Conservatives at all levels of our government.
