Treating Ex-Presidents Civilly

^.^

Na Na Na Na,
Na Na Na Na,
Hey hey hey,
Goodbye.

These lyrics to this 60s era song were used by the
crowd at the Obama inauguration to serenade former
President Bush as he came down to his seat to watch
the swearing in of our 44th President, Barack Hussein
Obama.

This kind of disrespect almost makes me ashamed to be
an American. We didn't see this kind of rudeness when
President Clinton left office, and of course, there were
all sorts of people who were political enemies of both
Bill and his wife. I got to see the first inaugaration
of President George W. Bush, and the former President
was treated with the respect he deserved.

One wonders if President Bush could see the placards that
were in the crowd...the ones that called for him to be
arrested.

Prehaps I should not be surprised. A new internet video
for Momlogic.com uses a two-year old as a pawn in an
anti-Bush video. These are the same people who voted for
Obama simply because of "hope" and "change", people who
couldn't even name the person he was running against. Yet
these same vacuous people have the unmitigated gall to
treat President Bush worse than dirt.

These people forget that President Bush never walked into
the Oval Office searching for a controversy. They forget
that we were attacked in Spetember of 2001 and nearly 3000
people were killed. They forget that we liberated two
countries and 50 million people. People can disagree with
President Bush, even on some of these things, but up until
now, these disagreements have general been civil.

However, people with Bush Derangement Syndrome are not about
civility, they are about twisting the dagger just a little bit
more... The problem these people are going to have is that they
will only be able to complain, whine, and moan about President
Bush for about a week before he fades from the scene, and
people won't be able to blame him for very much. Certainly
the psychos who are on the extreme Left will continue to
be around for as long as they have things to hate.

The rest of us will move on.

Look, I don't agree with Presint Obama's politics or policies,
and I believe that the country will be worse off in 2012,
when Obama runs for re-election. However, I also don't want
the country to fall completely apart in the next four years,
and President Obama should be given the respect that is due
to anyone who occupies the Oval Office.

John B.
