How the Underwear Bomber Dealt Serious Damage to Obama
^.^
While the vast majority of the populace of the country had a nice Christmas, a Nigerian citizen
boarded a plan in Amsterdam. He paid for his ticket with cash at the last minute, he bought
a one-way ticket, and he had no carry-on luggage. When he was unable to produce a valid
passport, an associate of the man, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, said that he was from the
Sudan, and "we do this kind of thing all the time".
We all know the ending to this one ... Abdulmutallab was carrying a chemical explosive similar
to that carried by the "shoe bomber" Richard Reid. He managed to get through the security
checkpoint in Amsterdam, and it wasn't until the plane was approaching Detroit, when he was
trying to trigger the explosive that a Dutch passenger intervened and stopped the whole thing.
Now, even though the "underwear bomber" failed in his mission, even if only by the grace of a
failed trigger, the entire incident, and its aftermath has exposed the inability and incompetance
of the Obama administration when it comes to fighting the war on terrorism.
From Janet "the Incompetant" Nepolitano, who said that the system had "worked", despite the
fact that it DIDN'T ... and she then had to reverse the statement, to the State Department not
getting the information from the CIA that was retrieved from the man's FATHER who said "Hey,
my son might be a terrorist!"
Then there's the idea that Britain had already had Abdulmutallab on a no-fly list, so he was not
allowed to fly into London, but perfectly okay to fly into Detroit.
While I am certainly not an Obama supporter, the administration and its supporters really should
stop making hating them so easy. With the attack at Fort Hood, and now the "underwear bomber"
incident, the American people are getting a distinct feeling of INSECURITY, and they are placing
the blame squarely on the head of Barack Hussein Obama (mmm .. mmm .. mmm) and the
lightweights that infest the administration.
About the only good news is that the mid-term elections are only eleven months away.
