Conservative Writer Ann Coulter to Speak at the UW Campus
^.^
Ann Coulter will speak at the University of Wyoming on March 31, 2011. Details about this free event, which is part of the Reagan 100 Lecture Series , will be announced soon. (Young America's Foundation website)
As of yet, I have not heard whether this event will be open to the public, but I certainly will write the university and push for it to be open. If the William Ayers speech of last April was open to the public, I see no reason that we should be excluded from seeing the speech that some of us basically demanded as a reimbursement of sorts.
In fact, given the reception that Ann Coulter receives on college campuses, I would like to challenge Meg Lanker to make a public statement in this blog space, that she supports the rights of Ann Coulter to come to UW and be allowed to speak. She as much as said she would defend the right of a conservative to speak at UW. It's time to make the statement.
I figure I am going to go to the Ann Coulter speech, as a way to reward myself for standing out in the cold and snow last April to be with the protesters who had signs out speaking against the visit by Bill Ayers, the unrepentant Weather Underground terrorist.
UPDATE: Not only will I be attending the Ann Coulter speech, which will be held at the A&S auditorium on March 31, 2011, but I will bring one of her books with me and see if I can get her to sign it. I will also jot down some details for an exclusive piece for Politics City.
